Vehicle Wrap Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to all vehicle wrap products and services provided by Unique Printz.

1. Scope and Written Communication

Written Authorization: While verbal orders may be received, in the absence of supportive written documentation, Unique Printz is not responsible for verbal errors or misunderstandings. All project specifications, orders, alterations, and approvals must be provided in writing. Unique Printz accepts no responsibility for inaccuracies in orders conveyed via telephone or fax.

Binding Agreement: The client is fully responsible for payment for all work, designs, and materials provided by Unique Printz on their behalf. The client acknowledges their responsibility to review the Unique Printz FAQ documentation prior to contracting services.

2. Quotations, Invoicing, and Payment Terms

Quote Validity: All written quotations remain valid for 30 days from the date of issue.

Payment Schedule: A 50% non-refundable deposit is required upon order confirmation prior to the commencement of printing. The remaining balance must be paid in full prior to collection, delivery, or release of the vehicle.

Balance Due on Possession: Once the wrap installation is performed and the client takes possession of the vehicle, the remaining balance is immediately due and payable.

Late Payments & Interest: Any invoice not settled within 15 calendar days of wrap completion will incur a late charge of 1.5% per month (or pro-rated portion thereof) applied to the outstanding balance.

Retention of Title & Repossession: All graphics and materials remain the legal property of Unique Printz until the invoice is paid in full. Pending full settlement, the customer holds the goods on behalf of Unique Printz and must maintain them clearly identifiable as such. If payment defaults, the customer irrevocably authorizes Unique Printz to enter the premises and remove the installed graphics.

3. Artwork, Color Matching, and Design Revisions

File Requirements: Production begins only after receipt of a complete, high-resolution, print-ready file accompanied by a color proof, Pantone references, and an authorized purchase order.

Client-Supplied Artwork: The client is solely responsible for ensuring supplied files are strictly print-ready, including high-resolution imagery suitable for large-format printing. Unique Printz accepts no liability for layout errors or pixelation resulting from client-supplied assets. Original client artwork and logos will not be altered without written authorization, as alterations may introduce errors.

Design & Consultation Fees: Any alterations or layout adjustments made by Unique Printz to client-supplied artwork are billed at our standard rate of $75.00 per hour. Consultations provided to third-party design firms are complimentary only if Unique Printz executes both the printing and installation; if printing or installation is transferred to an external vendor, the client will be invoiced for all accumulated consultation time.

Color Accuracy: Due to variance across substrates, inks, and digital displays, exact color replication across all surfaces cannot be guaranteed. In the absence of a designated client representative signing off on a physical color match sample, color reproduction remains at the professional discretion of Unique Printz.

4. Vehicle Templates, Dimensions, and 3D Variances

Template Margins of Error: Digital two-dimensional templates carry a standard variance margin of several inches. Designers must compensate for this variance by avoiding placement of critical text, logos, or phone numbers near cut lines or extreme edges. Physical measurement of the actual vehicle is strongly advised.

Dimensional Verification: The client's designer bears full responsibility for confirming vehicle dimensions, wheelbases, trim styles, light placements, license plate recesses, and door counts. When Unique Printz supplies the layout, the client must cross-reference the proof against the physical vehicle prior to final print sign-off.

Proof vs. Finished Wrap: Proofs represent a flat 2D layout scaled down for screen or paper viewing. Because vehicles feature complex curves that are not parallel to the ground, graphics will naturally shift by several inches along the body line during 3D application.

5. Vinyl Limitations and Installation Characteristics

Material vs. Paint: Vinyl wrap film is a specialized pressure-sensitive film; it is not paint. Clients should anticipate minor imperfections, including small wrinkles, tiny bubbles, relief cuts, or seams. Flawless, seamless coverage across compound curves can only be achieved via custom automotive paint.

Compound Curves & Recesses: Vinyl film has finite tensile limits and cannot stretch beyond 0.25 inches without discoloration, adhesive failure, or lifting. For deep vehicle channels, body indents (e.g., Hummers), and compound curves, technicians must install relief cuts, overlaps, or color patches. Areas behind gas flaps, inside door jambs, under handles, and around tight mirror edges will expose factory paint or require seams.

Installer Discretion: On-the-spot adjustments may be executed by our installers to maximize readability, maintain alignment, and preserve adhesive integrity around moldings, handles, and trim.

6. Vehicle Condition and On-Site Requirements

Surface Readiness: Vinyl adhesives bond exclusively to sound, factory-catalyzed paint and glass. Unique Printz advises against wrapping repainted, oxidized, rusted, or clear-coat-compromised surfaces. The vehicle owner is solely responsible for verifying surface soundness prior to drop-off.

Cleanliness Requirement: Vehicles must arrive clean and free of road film, wax, oil, grease, and pre-existing graphics. A minimum $100.00 cleaning surcharge applies to any vehicle requiring detailing or surface prep prior to installation.

Mobile / Client-Site Installations: For installations at client-nominated facilities, the client must supply an indoor, clean, dust-free, and temperature-controlled workspace with dedicated power, ample task lighting, prep tables, and a minimum of 5 feet of unobstructed clearance around the entire perimeter of the vehicle. If our lead installer deems conditions inadequate for professional installation, the vehicle must be brought to an authorized Unique Printz facility.

7. Existing Graphic Removal

Standard Removal Methods: Unique Printz adheres strictly to manufacturer-approved, non-damaging vinyl removal techniques (heat and gentle adhesive removers). We do not employ aggressive scraping, razor cutting, or harsh chemical stripping that risks paint gouging.

Third-Party & Non-Removable Vinyl: If contracted to strip graphics installed by another company, Unique Printz exercises extreme caution but accepts no liability for surface, clear coat, or paint damage resulting from non-removable or degraded vinyl films.

Wrap-Overs: Where aged or non-removable graphics cannot be safely removed using standard practices, industry standard is to wrap directly over the existing vinyl. The client acknowledges that the underlying vinyl texture, outlines, or seams will remain visible through the new wrap film.

8. Dispute Resolution and Limitation of Liability

Resolution Period: In the event of a quality dispute, the client must notify Unique Printz in writing and provide a mandatory 30-day period to inspect, remediate, or correct the issue before initiating credit card chargebacks, payment stops, or legal action.

Paint Damage Disclaimer: Unique Printz uses premium vehicle-grade cast vinyl engineered for clean removal from sound OEM paint. Unique Printz accepts no liability for paint damage occurring during vinyl removal, particularly on repainted, poorly prepped, or aged surfaces.

Maximum Liability Cap: Under no circumstances shall the liability of Unique Printz, whether arising from contract, tort, negligence, workmanship, application, or delivery of products, exceed the total invoice amount paid for the specific goods or services rendered. Unique Printz is expressly exempt from all claims regarding indirect, incidental, or consequential commercial losses.
